Pet Transport in Benidorm — Pickup at Your Hotel or Home
Benidorm lives for its visitors: skyscrapers on the seafront, two big beaches and more than 77,000 registered residents who seem to triple in summer. More and more people arrive with their dog, and those who live here all year round have appointments and trips to fit around their pet too. Hatchi picks you up at your hotel, holiday flat or home and takes your pet, in a van reserved for your family alone, wherever it needs to go and back.
Worth knowing before you pack: the local by-law doesn't allow dogs on Benidorm's beaches at any time of year, and that includes Levante and Poniente. The alternative is close by: the nearest dog beaches are Cala del Xarco in la Vila Joiosa and Punta del Riu Sec in El Campello. Benidorm's tourist office also lists l'Olla in Altea, but we haven't been able to confirm it with Altea, so check there before you go. In town there are five fenced dog parks: Rincón de Loix, l'Aigüera, Foietes, La Cala and Parque Adolfo Suárez. For a walk with a view, the Serra Gelada path starts at the end of Levante beach; inside the natural park dogs must stay on a lead and there's no water or shade, so bring some water.
There are a lot of hotels and quite a few already accept pets, but the conditions vary a great deal (maximum weight, extra charge, communal areas), so ask when you book. What hardly changes is the problem of getting around: without a car and with a big dog it's hard work, and not every taxi accepts dogs. That's where we come in. We pick up in Rincón de Loix, in the old town by the Balcón del Mediterráneo, in La Cala at the end of Poniente, where Benidorm meets Finestrat and la Vila Joiosa, or in Foietes and on Avenida de Europa. We can also meet you at the bus station in Els Tolls, right next to the Benidorm Intermodal TRAM stop.
In an emergency, AniCura Marina Baixa in l'Alfàs del Pi is open day and night and just a short drive away; in town, Clínica Veterinaria El Rincón on Avenida Doctor Severo Ochoa advertises a round-the-clock emergency phone line, about ten minutes from almost anywhere. We work from 8:00 to 20:00: in the small hours the quickest option is to go straight there, and we can do the trip home or the follow-up visit the next day. Alicante-Elche airport is about 58 km away, around three quarters of an hour by road, and our Alicante base about 45 km. Outside our hours, ask us about emergencies.
Private trip: only your family's pets travel. We never share the van with pets from other families or combine bookings from different customers. And if you like, you come too.

Yes. We come to the hotel or holiday flat at the agreed time, let you know when we collect your dog and when we drop it off, and if you want to go with it, you can. All we need on WhatsApp is the name of the accommodation and the exact address.
Can you take us to a beach where dogs can swim?
Of course. From Benidorm, Cala del Xarco in la Vila Joiosa is about twenty to twenty-five minutes away. We drop you there with your dog and come back for you at whatever time you say, to take you back to the hotel.
How long does it take from Benidorm to Alicante-Elche airport?
Without traffic, a little under an hour. We pick you up with your luggage and your pet and drop you at departures; on the way back we wait for you at arrivals. In July and August the motorway gets busy, so we leave with time to spare.
What if my dog falls ill at night during our holiday?
Go straight to AniCura Marina Baixa, open day and night and minutes from the centre, or call El Rincón's emergency line first.
