Pet Transfers to the Port of Alicante

Ferries to Oran and Algiers leave the port of Alicante, as do the regular boat to the island of Tabarca and the cruise ships that call at the city. Either way, you still have to get to the quay by road, and with a big dog, its carrier and the suitcases, that isn't as simple as it looks.

We pick you up at home or at your hotel and drop you at the right terminal, or collect you and your pet when you come back. The van is reserved for your family alone. We've been working in the Alicante area since 13 October 2026.

Private trip: only your family's pets travel. We never share the van with pets from other families or combine bookings from different customers. And if you like, you come too.

The port terminals

Ferry terminal: on quay 25 (muelle 25), with the passenger terminal and the vehicle ramps. The ships to Algeria leave from here.
Cruise terminal: on quay 14 (muelle 14).
Boat to Tabarca: the regular Cruceros Kontiki line leaves from the Paseo de los Mártires de la Libertad, right in the centre, from Tuesday to Sunday.

Ferries to Algeria and pets

Algérie Ferries (Oran and Algiers) and Nouris Elbahr Ferries (Oran and Algiers, with a 2026 season between 15 June and 31 October) operate here. Frequencies change with the season: confirm them with the ferry company.
Algérie Ferries asks you to book your pet's place, doesn't allow pets in lounges, cabins or restaurants and recommends its ventilated kennel; it also lets your pet stay in the car, at your own risk.
Nouris Elbahr doesn't publish a pet policy: ask them before you buy your ticket.

To Tabarca with your dog

Cruceros Kontiki, from Alicante, says you can board with your pet.
Boats to Tabarca that accept pets also leave from Santa Pola and Torrevieja.
On the island, bear in mind that Tabarca belongs to the municipality of Alicante, and the local bylaw doesn't allow dogs on its beaches except between 1 November and 1 March, and on a lead.

How we organise it

You tell us the terminal, the boarding time and where you're leaving from.
We pick you up with enough margin to reach the boarding check without rushing.
We drop you at the passenger entrance with the carrier and the luggage.
When you come back, we wait for you at the terminal and take you home.

Frequently asked questions

Will you drop me right at the ferry terminal?

We drop you at the passenger entrance of the quay 25 terminal, or wherever the ferry company tells foot passengers to board. If you're travelling with your own car, you board with it yourself.

Can I go to Tabarca with my dog?

The Kontiki boats from Alicante allow it, and so do the ones from Santa Pola and Torrevieja. On the island, respect the bylaw: from March to October, no dogs on the sand of its beaches.

Can we call you when we get back from a cruise?

Yes. Tell us the day and time the ship docks and we'll wait for you at the cruise terminal to take you home or to your hotel.

What are your hours?

Every day, public holidays included, from 8:00 to 20:00. Outside those hours, ask us about emergencies.
