Ciudad Quesada is part of the municipality of Rojales, in the Vega Baja del Segura. Rojales has two faces that barely touch: the old village by the Segura, with its Carlos III bridge and the Cuevas del Rodeo carved into the hillside, and Ciudad Quesada, the huge urbanisation that grew up around the La Marquesa golf course. Together they have about 17,500 residents. Hatchi collects your pets in either of them and takes them to the vet, the groomer, the boarding kennel or the airport.
Ciudad Quesada is where we're needed most. It was born in the late eighties as a golf project and today has around thirty thousand homes between Quesada, La Marquesa and Doña Pepa, with a population mostly from northern Europe, British above all. Lots of older residents, houses with gardens and dogs, and quite a few owners who only spend part of the year here. If you don't drive, or would rather not put your dog in a taxi, we send a van just for your family; if you want to go with your pet, you ride along.
For emergencies, the nearest hospital open day and night is Veterpet in Guardamar, about 10 km away, a little over ten minutes by car from Quesada. Alicante-Elche airport is about 49 km away, close to 40 minutes; the Region of Murcia airport at Corvera, less than an hour. Our Alicante base is about 56 km by road.
Short trips are just as welcome: from here to Benijófar, Formentera del Segura or Almoradí, or further to Orihuela or Elche. A cat that needs neutering, a dog with a hip check-up or a visit to the groomer before the holidays: short trips that are an uphill struggle without a car, and exactly the kind of journey we do. And if you're coming back to Quesada with your pet after a few months away, we collect you at arrivals and drop you at your front door, without having to hunt for a taxi that accepts dogs.
Private trip: only your family's pets travel. We never share the van with pets from other families or combine bookings from different customers. And if you like, you come too.

Taking your dog back to the UK?
To enter Great Britain your dog needs the right travel document and a tapeworm treatment given by a vet between one full day and 5 days before you arrive. We sum up the official gov.uk rules in our guide to taking your dog back to the UK or Norway, and we can take you to the vet for the treatment and then to the terminal.
Frequently asked questions
How much does pet transport from Ciudad Quesada cost?
It depends on the route and the destination. Message us on WhatsApp at +34 633 14 36 49 and we'll send you a no-obligation quote. We reply every day from 8:00 to 20:00.
Do you pick up in Doña Pepa and La Marquesa, not just in Quesada?
Yes, in every phase of Ciudad Quesada, in Doña Pepa, in La Marquesa and in the village of Rojales. Send us your exact location on WhatsApp, because some streets in the urbanisation look very alike.
Can we book if we hardly speak Spanish?
No problem. Everything is booked in writing on WhatsApp at +34 633 14 36 49, in English, so you can write calmly. We confirm the pickup time, the destination and the fixed price in writing before we set off.
How long does it take from Quesada to Veterpet in Guardamar?
About 10 km, a little over ten minutes by road if there are no jams on the N-332. From 8:00 to 20:00 we can take your dog there; outside those hours, go straight there, because the hospital is open through the night.
